Monday, December 5, 2016 • 5 Kislev 5777
6:30 PM - 8:30 PMIs eating meat morally defensible? Is throwing away food unethical? Should the way an animal lives be as important as the way it dies? How should the role of factory farms and agribusiness be considered in our eating choices? This class will look at the raw ethics of what and how we eat.
One of the beauties of Jewish tradition is that it remains vital, vibrant, and relevant when applied to contemporary ethical issues. One of the challenges of Jewish tradition is that it rarely, if ever, speaks with one voice. This Adult Education series will look at Judaism's understanding of complex and challenging ethics issues.
