Please see sidebar of exact times and locations for each service. ⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒
This form is for Shir Hadash Members. If you wish to become a synagogue member or renew your membership, please click here.
As a Shir Hadash member, you are entitled to seats for your immediate household to attend High Holy Days services with you.
Attendance
We ask you to please indicate if you have family members who will not be attending and who should therefore not have name badges printed.
Volunteer opportunities
Our High Holiday services are successful every year because so many of our members volunteer some of their time. We have listed volunteer opportunities, with specific times and length of commitment so that you can choose the ones that fit you best. We have even included some volunteer jobs for your kids. We ask that each family choose at least one volunteer task to help everything run smoothly.
Prayerbooks
Shir Hadash uses the Reconstructionist High Holiday Mahzor. These books are available for purchase. If you need a book, please purchase below. We will not have books available for those who do not purchase in advance.
Guest Tickets
If you have guests coming, please use the High Holiday Guest Registration form to register them. The link to that form is in the sidebar. If your guests are not former members and have not attended Shir Hadash High Holiday services in the last 5 years, they are eligible for our special $54 rate for New High Holiday Guests. That link is also in the right-hand sidebar.
If you have questions about how many guest tickets you need, don't hesitate to email us at cwr@shir-hadash.org or call our office at (847) 498-8218
Book of Life
This year, like last year, instead of preparing a Book of Life for the Yizkor service on Yom Kippur, we will be providing you with other ways to remember and honor the names of your loved ones during that service. Also, we suggest that you consider purchasing Yahrtzeit plaques on our Memorial Wall in the sanctuary. Information about the Memorial Wall and plaques is available here.
