Join us as we watch this wonderful movie, which

won “Best Documentary” awards from the Israeli

Film Academy and the Sundance Film Festival. It

is based on the autobiography of Mosab Hassan

Yousef, the eldest son of Hamas co-founder

Sheikh Hassan Yousef.

As a teen, Mosab began playing an important

role in Hamas leadership—but he also began

harboring doubts about the organization’s mission

and methods. After he is arrested by Israel on

weapons charges, his Shin Bet interrogator,

Gonen Ben Yitzhak, eventually convinces Mosab

to betray his family and his people by spying for

Israel from within Hamas.

This film not only tells a story of hair-raising

espionage and political intrigue, but it also explores

the relationship of trust and caring that develops

between Mosab and Gonen, his Israeli “handler.”
