The story of Purim will be told through adapted lyrics of well-known rock and roll songs in this adult only evening.  Purim can get quite bawdy and racy with innuendo and double-entendre.  It’s part of the spring-fever nature of the holiday, similar to Mardi Gras.

The event begins at 7:30 PM and is open to the public.

Shir Hadash member David Liebling wrote the parody words to the rock and roll songs and will perform them along, accompanied by Scarlett Andes and Shir Hadash music director Marek Rachelski on piano.

If you wish that the Rolling Stones, Linda Ronstadt, Foreigner, Creedence Clearwater and Billy Joel had written songs about Purim, then this is your chance to see how they might have done it.
