This month's destination: Cairo in the Age of Maimonides
After Cordoba and Fez, we're continuing our tour in the footsteps of Maimonides in Cairo, where Maimonides arrived around 1168. The Cairo Geniza, found in the Ben Ezra Synagogue by Solomon Schechter, later gave scholars an incredible glimpse of Medieval Jewish life in Cairo.
