9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

We continue our Yom Kippur observance throughout this full day.

  • Morning Service, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Yizkor, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., St. Joseph the Worker Social Hall
  • Afternoon Study Sessions, 2 to 4 p.m.; Minchah and Ne'ilah/Havdalah, 4:15 to 6:30 p.m., Shir Hadash

We begin with the morning service, including member readings, prayers, music from Lahaka, and Rabbi Eitan’s leadership. Then is the Yizkor service, to remember departed loved ones.

During the afternoon, we will have several study sessions on Jewish topics that fit the holiday, led by Shir Hadash members. One session will be held on Zoom only, and two sessions will be held at the synagogue.

Finally, we will return to services together, for the Mincha afternoon service and the Ne’ilah concluding service.

Adult services will be held in the morning at the social hall of St. Jospeh the Worker, across the street from Shir Hadash. Afternoon study sessions, Mincha, and Ne'ilah will be held at Shir Hadash, 200 W. Dundee Road, Wheeling.

Children's services and programming will be held at Shir Hadash. Doors open for drop-off at 9:15am with pickup by 12:45pm.
