The workshop "Kavanah to JEWVANA" is a transformative three-hour journey led by Jeffrey Sumber (MA, MTS, LCPC Psychotherapist, Author, and Relationship Consultant - and Shir Hadashnik) designed to prepare individuals for the Jewish New Year by fostering a welcoming, easy-to-understand, and practical approach to your personal spiritual practice.

Delving into the concepts of Keva and Kavanah—the bones and the soul of Jewish prayer—participants explore the balance between fixed prayer formulas and intuitive, heartfelt devotion.

In our time together, you will have the the chance to reflect on personal peak moments when you have felt particularly connected to Jewish prayers and rituals. You will also make your own tangible map for how to access the letters, words, images, and prayers that excite you and light you up!

Through chanting and meditation, interactive exercises, and creative expression with pastels and charcoals, you will manifest your own personal blueprint for the new year... and then we get to share a lovely pot luck meal together!
