It’s official!  The Shir Hadash Chili Cook-off is the largest kosher food event in all of Wheeling, Il (.. and the only one)! The  Kosher Chili Cook-off will be held on Saturday, April 29th starting at 6:30 pm.  There will be A LOT of cooking teams, A LOT of food, A LOT of money raised Shir Hadash and a LOT of fun! At 6:30 pm, the public is invited to sample chili, mingle, enjoy activities, listen to music, and simply have a great time in a relaxed atmosphere. The event will conclude with the selection of the winning chili by celebrity judges. So don’t miss this “hot” event!

The Kosher Chili Cookoff is all about bringing the Jewish Community together for an evening of food, fun and festivities to raise funds for our amazing community.

Organizers of the cooking competition are calling the event the "most fun, tastiest, healthiest chili cook-off in all of Wheeling.” All chili being prepared should either use kosher meat or be parve.  (Sorry, no cheese or sour cream)
