Coffee House Night - Concert Series is back!

Concert begins at 7:30 PM, Doors open at 6:45 PM

Shir Hadash is thrilled to present one of our own, Mitchell Green, gracing our Coffee House Night - Concert Series stage by performing a specially designed 90 Minute Classical Guitar Concert featuring repertoire from both Classical and Contemporary composers.

Mitchell has been an active participating member of Shir Hadash for over 15 years. In his early teens, under the direction of the Education Director, he ran the Shir Hadash Youth Music Enrichment Program with Samantha Lewin to teach Jewish traditional and recreational music to the Synagogue’s Sunday School students. He also has been, and continues to be, a featured musician at the Shir Hadash High Holiday Services.

At a very early age, Mitchell had a passion for Classical Guitar that would shape the rest of his life. His principal studies began with Dr. Julia Miller and have since included Anne Waller and Denis Azabagić. Mitchell also studied with Sharon Isbin from the Juilliard School of Music at the Aspen Music Festival and School. Feature performances have included the Ravinia Festival and Chicago’s 98.7 WFMT Classical Radio Station. He has won numerous competitions, been a clinician at music festivals, and is a board member of the Chicago Classical Guitar Society.
