Rosh Chodesh is a chance for women to get together with old friends and to make new ones by participating in the ancient Jewish custom of celebrating the new moon each month. We invite all women to join us in a monthly gathering as we celebrate the new month through discussions and programs. Jewish women getting together on Rosh Chodesh is an ancient tradition that the women of Shir Hadash have chosen to carry on. This is a great way to take some time for ourselves and to recharge our own energy. Best of all, this is a great way to get to know other wonderful women in our synagogue.
We will be learning about the month of Kislev, and the upcoming Hanukkah Holiday—by celebrating with a Party... complete with a White Elephant Exchange!!! It is our festival of lights—let's bring some light into our lives as we approach this winter season.
