Join the Shir Hadash Community as we celebrate our act of Tikkun Olam in installing 360 solar panels on our roof.  The celebration is open to the congregation and public, and will consist of music, dance, and sun-themed refreshments, as well as a presentation on the system’s specifications and benefits.

The solar system will help Heal Our World by reducing the synagogue's carbon dioxide emission by nearly 106 tons a year, which is the equivalent of planting more than 4,200 trees each year. In the next 25 years, the energy saved will be the equivalent of planting 108,976 trees or reducing automobile use by over 4 million miles. The system will save Shir Hadash as much as $15,000-$20,000 per year in energy costs, and will pay for itself in 7-9 years.

Supporters of our DREAM TO GO GREEN can contribute to our solar campaign below.  Donor's of at least one-half a solar a panel will have a Panel or Solar Inverter named after them.
