A Gala Honoring Rabbi Eitan Weiner-Kaplow
Our Honoree:
Rabbi Eitan has been the heart and soul of Shir Hadash since its founding 28 years ago. As our spiritual leader, teacher, resource, guide, facilitator, advisor, and friend, he embraces the pillars of community, creativity, and caring to celebrate our Jewish tradition. We have been extremely fortunate to have Rabbi Eitan's leadership at our congregation. Our Gala will celebrate our time together!
Our Meal:
Guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a family style dinner featuring grilled salmon, pasta with vodka sauce, potato wedges, and seasonal grilled vegetables. Please check the boxes in the registration form below or on your mail-in response card if you require a plated vegan or gluten-free meal.
Coffee and tea are included, cash bar will be available for more celebratory drinks. All food selections will follow dairy and/or parve dietary guidelines.
Our Entertainment:
Maxwell Street Klezmer Band will be providing music and dancing! Since their founding in 1983, Maxwell Street has become the Midwest's most popular klezmer band, touring seven times in Europe and performing throughout the U.S., including Carnegie Hall. Audiences of all backgrounds have been delighted by Maxwell Street's high-energy performances that glow with warmth and humor.

We respectfully ask guests to consider a contribution to our Mensch Fund, which will provide ticket subsidies to Shir Hadash members who would very much like to participate in honoring Rabbi Eitan and would otherwise be prevented from doing so due to economic challenges.
