We are thrilled for you to join us and be part of Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Synagogue's beautiful, inspiring, creative and musical High Holiday Services!

Thank you for registering through the form below, which helps us plan ahead and make the High Holidays an excellent experience for everyone. Through the form, you can also order prayer books, add names to the Yizkor list, sign up for children's programming, and pick one or more volunteer opportunities. There's no better time to do a mitzvah than the High Holidays!

Times & Locations:

Most of the services will be held at in the Social Hall of St. Joseph the Worker Church, directly across the street from the synagogue, and the rest will be held at the synagogue. If you are attending in person, your badge (which serves as your ticket) will be waiting for you at St. Joseph.

If you are not able to attend in-person, or not comfortable doing so, we are offering a virtual livestream option through Zoom. Before the holidays, all Shir Hadash members and registered guests will be sent a Zoom link. We ask that you please not share this Zoom link with non-members who haven't registered.

Check the schedule at right or the synagogue calendar for each service's time and location.

Children's Programming

On Rosh Hashanah Day 1 and on Yom Kippur, we will have special Family Services from 2:00-3:00 pm, led by our Director for Lifelong Learning, Lauren Comm, at the synagogue. These services, offered at no cost and open to the larger community, are designed for children up through 4th grade and their families (older siblings welcome), and offer a lovely way to celebrate the holidays! Please click here to sign up separately for the Family Services!

Of course, children are welcome to attend the adult services on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. We will also offer complimentary childcare in an area at the back of the sanctuary, where children can read, draw, and play quietly with busy bags while enjoying the melodies of the holidays. In the Children's Programming section below, please register for any children who might or will want to spend time in the childcare area.

Prayerbooks

Shir Hadash uses the Reconstructionist High Holiday Mahzor.  These books are available for purchase for your use.  If you need a book, please purchase below.

If you plan to attend in person, you can pick up your books when you arrive at services.  If you are not attending in person, we can mail the books (including mailing charge) or you can pick them up at the synagogue before Thursday, September 26.

Guest Tickets

As always, we invite you to spread the word and invite guests to the High Holidays. To register for non-members who would like to attend services, please use either the High Holiday Guest form for returning guests or the New High Holiday Guest form, for first-time guests. Non-members can also register themselves using the same forms, so feel free to share the registration links with them.
